• Jeffrey Hartman | Founder and President

Jeffrey Hartman is an innovative entrepreneur, author, and non-profit leader. Jeff was the founder and president of a digital forensics consulting firm for over two decades. In 2018, Jeff sold his interest in that company and “retired” from the business world. Jeff had been on the board of directors of The CareLink Foundation, a non-profit that provides micro-finance loans in the developing world. The founder of CareLink, and Jeff’s dear friend, Dr. Timothy Wall, MD, passed away unexpectedly at nearly the exact same time Jeff sold his business. Recognizing this as a “God Wink”,* Jeff became the president of The CareLink Foundation, continuing to promote the power of micro-finance as a force for good in the developing world. Jeff credits his faith for motivating him to do his best to make the world just a little bit better. Jeff also serves on the CareLink board of Directors.

While on a CareLink mission trip to Honduras, Jeff and his team were deeply moved by the suffering of children related to the unclean water problem, and became determined to help find answers. CareLink began to distribute water filters to communities in Honduras, and then Thirsty Child was born, aiming to make an impact on the global unsafe water crisis through water filter distribution, digging wells, and helping to engineer and build water sanitation systems globally through their staff and partners.

Jeff has homes in Naperville, Illinois and New Buffalo, Michigan. He and his wife of over 40 years, Katherine, have two grown children and four grandchildren.

Jeff is a true believer that “Faith without works is dead.” (James 2:17)
